Street Rod 11/2009

Chad Kolman’s ’08 Harley-Davidson® FLH no longer looks like the sedate, Sunday cruiser motorcycle that many associate Baggers with, at least in their stock form. After four intense months of labor by Turkey Creek Cycles, as well as a heap of work by the paint and graphics crew of Carlos Loubriel and Bob Bond, Chad took delivery of a bright green custom American Bagger with intricate hand applied pin striping. Chad’s neighbors are still saying “there goes the neighborhood.” That 96” Twin Cam motor and six-speed transmission remain virtually stock, with the exception of a D&M air filter and TCC tucked muffler. Mad mania motor modifications are due in the near future.

Changes to the frame include the addition of Arnott Air Suspension and nine degrees of positive neck rake with an additional seven degrees in the triple clamps. The factory fork is now 1.5” longer than the stock unit to allow for the increased rake. The right leg has been shaved and both are now Black Imron coated. The fork is now a single-sided brake unit and sports boots from Arlen Ness.
