I have to admit, I am a sucker for a clean Road Glide. Maybe since I am a long time Road Glide owner, I seem to notice them more; or is it that Road Glide owners seem to customize their rides more? Patrick Redican, of Rockland, MA is the proud owner of this tastefully painted black and purple ’05 Road Glide. The assembly was performed by Patrick in his garage; probably over a long and cold Massachusetts winter. Estimated build time was 500 beers, depending on your level of intoxication and the size of the beers; this could have taken a long time or a short time.

I have always believed that an American Bagger should put out at least 100 horses and foot pounds of torque; Patrick’s got those both covered with his well thought out 95” motor. Big Grez - who sounds like a guy that knows something about high horsepower motors - handled the increase in horsepower by installing a set of Branch heads and cylinders, JE Pistons and Andrews cams. To increase fuel consumption and power, a Horsepower Inc. throttle body was added. Expelling the exhaust gases quicker is the ever-reliable Thunderheader 2-into-1 exhaust system. The end result is 102 horses and 110 ft.-lbs. of torque with a very reliable 10.5:1 compression ratio.

Patrick chose to go with 18’’wheels front and back, from Performance Machine. A 130mm Metzeler tire rolls up front, and a 160mm Metzeler rolls on the rear. Braking power up front is increased significantly with the addition of matching six-piston Performance Machine calipers. Rear braking remains stock.
