Custom Cycle Engineering 11/2009

Riding stability starts at the front, as was discovered by installing Custom Cycle Engineering’s all new billet aluminum Dresser Triple Trees. All top triple clamps are the same, yes? The answer is a resounding no! Custom Cycle Engineering’s top triple clamp actually pinches the fork tube, just as the lower triple clamp does. This adds a tremendous amount of structural stiffness to the fork assembly. When installing the CCE triple clamp, slightly longer fork tubes are required (and included in the kit) to make up for the additional tube length that resides in the pinch portion of the CCE component. After the installation of the CCE top triple clamp and tubes kit, this ’07 Bagger steered as if it was on a rail. Steering became solid and true, with none of that slightly washy feel of the stock fork. On the highway at highway speed, the motorcycle absolutely refused to wobble, even over deep grooves and pavement defects. Get yours from Custom Cycle Engineering.
